Grecian design of the famous thorn plant inspired this
plate. It features full arrowhead shaped leaves at the at
the corners. These graciously curl up and back into
the plates surface.

Add this to your exceptional item collection, exhibit
it on a display armoire or functionally fill it with fruits
in your refrigerator for cold serving.

Design Notes:

Getting the continuous circumferencial lip to contain
the plate and free the leaves while making each leaf
credibly sprout from the plate’s mass constituted this
project’s main challenge. Its very simplicity showcase
how artisan forgers bring life onto their executions.

Construction Notes:

This piece is shaped by hand cutting and hammering a
steel sheet with progressively finer tools
until into its final shape emerges. We finished our
beauty with two anti-rust coast of zinc chromate
and a bronze or pewter finish.
